The Tropicana Gold Mine has required environmental approvals from local government all the way through to Ministerial approval at both State and Federal level. The initial phase of approvals was completed in 2010, culminating in approvals from the Federal and WA Ministers of Environment.

A series of secondary approvals have been subsequently obtained from the WA Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS); the WA Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER); Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA); the Shire of Menzies and the Department of Health.
