Local Business Initiatives
Local Purchasing: Think Local, Buy Local
Tropicana is committed to supporting local businesses and has adopted a ‘Think Local, Buy Local’ strategy which is applied on site by all departments when scoping projects and committing to purchases, where appropriate.
Supporting Local Indigenous Companies
Tropicana embarked upon a focused Indigenous business development program before the project was commissioned. This program included structured business coaching and mentoring and led to a number of Aboriginal owned businesses providing services onsite.
These are Kai Rho Contracting, A L Consulting, Katta Tijd, Carey Mining, Kambalda Auto Glass and Triodia Mining.
